Retrace the Light, the time-bending 2.5D action-adventure from developer Xiaming Game and publisher GlintForge, traces its path through PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on Thursday, Nov. 20th, 2025 for $17.99, and is now in development for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

A Future Where Minds Can Be Rewritten

In the year 3323, psychological issues like paranoia and obsessive thoughts can be cured from the inside-out thanks to mankind’s greatest invention: Primus, a supreme intelligence being. Observing how intense emotions often lead to irrational behaviors, the almighty AI begins altering the mental states of those deemed “unstable” to build a safer, sanitized future. Primus creates Enforcer Decem, a warrior capable of diving into surreal digital recreations of paranoid minds called Mirrormazes to eliminate destructive thoughts. After a failed mission erases Decem’s memories, he must now uncover the truth behind his existence by retrieving scattered memory fragments across a deceptively perfect world.

Retrace, Slash, and Outmaneuver in a Shattered Reality

Dash and slash through Mirrormares—mental anguish brought to life as mechanized foes. Decem leaves behind a temporary trail of light, and with his Spatial Retrace ability, he can freeze time and teleport back along that trail to reposition, escape, or launch tactical ambushes. Use this mechanic to outmaneuver enemies, solve time-based puzzles, and manipulate the battlefield. Bosses become tactical puzzles, requiring spatial awareness and mastery of time to conquer. Craft a unique combat style using seven Primary Combat Modules and twenty Secondary Modules, allowing customization of stances, combos, counters, and charge attacks.

Meet other Enforcers and uncover their missions as you explore a striking sci-fi world filled with crumbling ruins and thriving cities. Choose from three difficulty levels designed to cater to both action veterans and players seeking a story-first experience. Unravel a narrative shaped by your choices, leading to five possible endings. Will you restore order, uncover corruption, or redefine humanity’s destiny?
