The Smash Hit My Hero Academia Prequel Anime Series Will Stream Its Second Season Exclusively on Crunchyroll Worldwide, Excluding Asia

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, the hit prequel to the beloved anime series My Hero Academia, is leaping back into action with all-new key art featuring characters from the upcoming season and a brand-new trailer announcing that Season 2 will premiere on January 5, 2026. As new episodes broadcast from Japan each week, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Season 2 will stream exclusively on Crunchyroll worldwide, excluding Asia except the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia.

Additionally, the opening and ending theme song artists have been announced. THREEE will perform “CATCH!!!” as the opening theme, while shytaupe will perform the ending theme, “Miss you.”

Based on the manga created by Hideyuki Furuhashi, Betten Court, and Kohei Horikoshi, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Season 2 is directed by Kenichi Suzuki (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders; Cells at Work!). Series composition and script are written by Yosuke Kuroda (My Hero Academia; Trigun), with animation produced by Bones Film (My Hero Academia; Gachiakuta).

Official Synopsis

Koichi Haimawari is an ordinary college student who dreams of becoming a hero but has long since given up on the idea. Although 80% of the population possesses superhuman powers known as Quirks, only a select few ever become heroes. Koichi’s life changes forever when he and Pop☆Step are saved by Knuckleduster, a vigilante who recruits them to join his cause.
