Starship Troopers: Extermination Opens New Fronts of War with Bugs — Update 1.8 Now Available

New Critical Strike Map, New Air Strikes, and More Incoming for Troopers
Highlights of the Update 1.8 Deployment
Brand-New Company Progression
Update 1.8 introduces an expansive Company Progression system featuring over 50 tiers of unlocks, including emblems, frames, and extra Company slots. Troopers earn Intel after each match to level their Company, enabling fresh customization options for the Leaderboards.
New Critical Strike Map: Boreas
Prepare for freezing combat conditions on Boreas, a new Critical Strike map set among icy wastelands. Bundle up, Troopers—things are about to get dangerously cold.
New Side Objective: Air Strikes
Troopers can now defend Fleet Relays in the field to summon TAC Fighter bombing runs that pulverize massive Bug swarms. Look for the “TAC Fighter Support” and “Fleet Relay” mutators during missions on Valaka, Agni Prime, and Boreas. The more Bugs you vaporize, the closer the Federation gets to victory.
Bug Fixes and Quality-of-Life Updates
Additional fixes and improvements enhance overall mission flow and gameplay stability.
And that’s just the beginning. Future updates promise not only new threats but also new tools and systems to counter the growing Bug menace.
