Spry Fox, the studio behind Triple Town, Alphabear, and Cozy Grove, announced during the Wholesome Snack event that their cozy MMO Spirit Crossing will launch for PC via Steam in 2026. The project, originally announced in early 2025 as a collaboration with Netflix exclusively for mobile devices, is now confirmed for PC alongside a brand-new trailer.

This announcement follows last week’s news that Spry Fox will soon be spinning out of Netflix and returning to operation as an independent studio. Spry Fox will publish the PC version independently, while Netflix will continue to publish the mobile version of the game for Netflix members.

Spirit Crossing is a cozy MMO focused on the joy of shared experiences, creative expression, and connection with friends within a vast, beautiful world featuring ever-changing environments. Players are invited to relax and explore a fantastical landscape as they harvest resources, participate in fishing tournaments, or simply enjoy a quiet sunrise alone or with friends.

As players join the game, they are assigned to a Waystation—a unique, thriving community that players collectively build, decorate, and fortify through offerings and acts of kindness. Players can travel to other Waystations and participate in co-op activities such as harvesting, dancing, and mural painting, or enjoy the world entirely at their own pace.

Spirit Crossing emphasizes social interaction through a unique friendship progression system that unlocks features over time, including proximity chat, two-player emotes, instant teleportation, and gift-giving. Beyond construction and social play, self-expression is encouraged through a housing system that allows players to decorate their own spaces, along with extensive avatar customization options.

During exploration, players encounter delightfully small square bears, mysterious and charming villagers, and wandering spirits in need of help and safety. With patience and kindness, these characters slowly open up, revealing their stories and occasionally gifting items in return.
