FAIRY TAIL: DUNGEONS, the deckbuilding roguelike adventure based on the beloved FAIRY TAIL manga and anime series, developed and published by ginolabo and Kodansha Game Creators’ Lab, launches on Nintendo Switch on Wednesday, January 7, 2025. On the same day, a major free content update arrives for players on PC via Steam.

Whether you’re diving in for the first time on Nintendo Switch or returning to explore new challenges on PC, players can form a tenacious trio, build a powerful deck of magic cards, and descend into an underground maze filled with treasures, monsters, and secrets. Strategic, turn-based combat rewards smart planning, as players chain cards together in precise orders to activate devastating Magic Chains, then upgrade cards and skillsets after each dungeon run.

The game’s first major content update since its PC launch introduces five new playable heroes, all unlockable through gameplay: Gajeel, Juvia, Mirajane, Laxus, and Gildarts. With their arrival comes a massive expansion of gameplay options, including more than 200 amulets, 170 magic cards, 100 skills, 50 Labyrinth quests, 30 monsters, and 20 new items, opening the door to countless new battle strategies.

Players can return to the depths with the newly added Special Labyrinth Exploration, take on increased difficulty in Labyrinth and Abyssal Conquest modes, or enjoy the adventure at a relaxed pace with the newly introduced Casual Mode. The update also adds a new card fusion system allowing duplicate cards to be upgraded, alongside quality-of-life improvements such as UI enhancements, additional control schemes, and more.
