About the Game

The first game as part of Wolcen Studio’s Indie Initiative—developing in-house grassroots game projects into launchable titles—Bullet Noir features a rich, story-driven experience. Players uncover the motivations and backstories of four distinct protagonists, each driven by a relentless thirst for vengeance. As the narrative unfolds, players will navigate each character’s personal journey, intertwined with a larger plot full of twists and action.

Each protagonist comes equipped with unique skills. Slow down time to execute a kill as the Cop, extend your vision as the Priest, or become briefly invulnerable as the Lady. Master each talent to overcome obstacles and outsmart enemies in creative, tactical ways.

Gameplay and Style

Bullet Noir’s one-hit-one-kill mechanic offers intense showdowns at every turn—whether you’re charging in guns blazing or taking a stealthy approach. Slip through the shadows or create chaos through rain-soaked alleys and looming high-rises. The choice is yours as you embark on each character’s interweaving quest for revenge.

Bullet Noir is a love letter to the action and Noir canon, paying homage to titles like Hotline Miami, John Wick, Sin City, and The Matrix,” said Tavi Petre, Game Director. “We wanted to create something fierce, kinetic, and oozing with style. And more importantly, a dedicated action game where players are constantly making micro-decisions in ever-chaotic scenarios.”

Developer Statement

“Here at Wolcen, we believe in encouraging our team to pursue their indie development dreams,” said Bogdan Oprescu, President of Wolcen Studio. “Bullet Noir is the first title in our ‘Indie Initiative’—an effort to bring smaller-scale passion projects to life. It enlivens creativity and allows teams to work within constraints while still delivering impressive, unique results. We hope Bullet Noir is just the beginning of our growing indie lineup.”
