But by the end of the episode, I realized why this series is categorized as a sci-fi thriller. Why You’ll Like This

Paradise starts strong with a gripping premise. The story follows Xavier Collins (played by Sterling K. Brown), a secret service agent tasked with protecting the President (played by James Marsden). However, things quickly escalate when Xavier gets caught up in a murder investigation and becomes one of the prime suspects. To make matters worse, a global event unfolds, altering the world as we know it. Xavier must protect his family, uncover the truth behind the murder, and face the chaos consuming this seemingly peaceful town.

Here’s one of the things that make Paradise unique: At first glance, it doesn’t seem to fit neatly into the sci-fi genre. While the trailer and first episode set up a thriller and drama, you won’t truly understand the sci-fi element until later in the series. This surprising twist kept me engaged. As I watched the first few episodes, I was consistently shocked and left in awe by the plot twists and unexpected developments. If you enjoy shows like Homeland, The Night Agent, and 11.22.63, I think you’ll love Paradise.

Is It Worth Watching the First Three Episodes?

There’s little doubt in my mind that most viewers will find themselves hooked after watching just one episode of Paradise. The show knows how to grab your attention and keep you invested in what happens next. The constant shocks and unexpected twists ensure that you’re never sure when the next big reveal will come. Personally, I’m convinced that Paradise is worth at least three episodes, if not more. In fact, one episode alone is enough to keep you wanting more!
