Golf 5 MAX Revealed for PC, Hits Hole-in-One with Arcade Golf Gauntlets in Q2 2026

Golf 5 MAX, the retro-meets-modern arcade golf game and spinoff of the Golf5 VR simulator series developed by AAA Game Studios, is preparing to step up to the first tee on PC via Steam. The game will launch in Q2 2026 and is now available to wishlist on Steam at this link.
Ready to claim a spot on golf’s Mount Rushmore? Drive, chip, and putt a path to glory while the world watches every shot. Make the crowd roar on live TV with an ‘80s-style retro sports broadcast backdrop. With Golf5’s advanced physics engine delivering precision and classic arcade inspirations fueling its gameplay, every stroke balances skill and nostalgia.
Arcade Mode offers high-octane “Birdie or bust” course rules where only the most consistent golfers persevere to the 18th hole. Birdies boost your score, punishing pars deduct points, and a bogey or worse could end your run instantly, sending you back to the tee box to try again.
For golf purists, Classic Mode offers traditional 18-hole play where players establish a handicap and take on eight rival golfers with distinct attributes. Earn RPG-style progression after each round and allocate skill points across specialized categories to shape your ideal golfer.
Boost Power for long-drive distance, refine Technique for precise fades and draws, improve Consistency to slow the shot meter, increase Focus for added pre-shot control attempts, and elevate Putting to sharpen your green-reading abilities. Players can equip official Callaway golf clubs like the Mavrik set, and unlock the Epic set by lowering their handicap.
During Early Access, Golf 5 MAX features three distinct courses. Navigate cactus-filled canyons in Golden Dunes, take high-risk shots over water at Tropical Paradise, or keep your drives straight through the serene but punishingly narrow fairways of Forest Parkland, where a single slice can send your ball into an endless maze of branches.
Players can tee off solo, face rivals head-to-head, or gather a foursome in 4-player multiplayer across several modes, including Stroke Play, Match Play, Scrambles, and 2 vs. 2 Four-Ball. Competitive players can also enter official online tournaments to climb the International eGolf Federation rankings.
“We wanted to bring the fun of old-school arcade golf to the next generation,” said Antonio Marín, CEO and co-founder of AAA Game Studios. “Just like golf in the real world, you can feel the tension. There is an ever-present risk-reward analysis during every moment, and we can’t wait for golf fans to take a first look at it during Steam Next Fest in the coming weeks.”
Golf 5 MAX is currently in development for PC via Steam Early Access with language support in English, Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese. For updates and more information, visit the official AAA Game Studios website and follow Golf 5 MAX on the following platforms:
