Join forces in the beautifully brutal action-RPG from the creators of the Ori series

Independent developer Moon Studios has unveiled a brand-new trailer for the upcoming co-op multiplayer update for its distinctive action-RPG, No Rest for the Wicked, ahead of the update’s official launch. Titled No Rest for the Wicked Together, the update was first revealed last December during the latest episode of Wicked Inside and is scheduled to arrive on January 22, 2026.

The newly released trailer offers a deeper look at the upcoming co-op experience, showcasing the sweeping changes and features players can expect while exploring the lush yet unforgiving world of Isola Sacra alongside up to three friends. No Rest for the Wicked is currently available in Early Access and can be wishlisted now on PC via Steam.

No Rest for the Wicked Together reimagines traditional co-op multiplayer found in modern ARPGs and MMORPGs by allowing up to four players to share a persistent Realm without requiring a host to be online. Shared upgrades to the game’s soulslike combat system allow enemies to react naturally—and often desperately—when cornered or overwhelmed, while newly curated enemy placements ensure fresh surprises throughout each journey.

Beyond combat, players can collaborate during downtime to build and customize shared housing, interact with newly reworked vendors, and utilize a streamlined voting system designed to prevent disruptive behavior within the Realm. Alongside the extensive co-op additions, the update also introduces numerous quality-of-life improvements that enhance the overall experience of No Rest for the Wicked.

No Rest for the Wicked marks the third full-length title from Moon Studios, following the critically acclaimed Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps. Players step into the role of a Cerim, a member of a sacred order empowered with mysterious abilities, tasked with eradicating the Pestilence—an ancient plague ravaging the politically fractured island of Isola Sacra.

Throughout their journey, players collect and craft weapons, engage in tense soulslike combat against formidable foes, upgrade their character and personal homestead, and shape an epic tale of bloodshed and resilience. Everything is brought to life through Moon Studios’ signature painterly art style, which helped define the Ori series as some of the most visually striking games of their generation.
