Create your own action-packed Manga battles on PC and Nintendo Switch

The Fable: Manga Build Roguelike, the turn-based deckbuilder developed by MONO ENTERTAINMENT and published by Kodansha, brings the wildly popular manga and anime series The Fable into a brand-new gaming format. Launching Wednesday, November 5, 2025, the game will be available on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch.

Strategic Panels, Brutal Combat

After selling over 28 million copies and spawning a live-action movie starring Jun’ichi Okada, The Fable takes the leap to gaming in a creative new form where manga panels become your weapons. Randomly dealt out like cards, these panels represent Attack, Defense, and Movement actions. Place them on blank pages to orchestrate devastating battle sequences.

Read your enemies, strategize your panel order, and bring cinematic manga combat to life. Deliver hard-hitting blows, dodge incoming threats, and watch out—taking damage will physically rip the manga pages during battle.

Meet the Characters

Step into the shoes of Akira, a master assassin proficient in hand-to-hand combat and firearms. Sneak around enemies with Yoko’s surprise attacks, or control the battlefield with Suzuki’s traps and status debuffs. Each character brings unique tactics and panels to the fray, allowing for creative combos and approaches.

Experience the unexpected with Puzzle Mode, where one-page battles challenge players to think critically. Enjoy manga-inspired mini-games pulled directly from the original series, such as Playboy Kawai’s sake-drinking contest.

Developer Quote

“It is an honor to bring The Fable to a new format,” says mono, developer at MONO ENTERTAINMENT. “This game makes full use of the unique characteristics of manga while combining tactical puzzle elements with roguelike systems, creating a fresh new experience. Not only will fans of the series enjoy it, but even those unfamiliar with the series can feel the same tension and ingenuity of battles that the manga delivers.”
