Details & Information

In SUPERVIVE, face off in all-out, multi-squad teamfights; take down boss monsters for big loot; get that W and run it back. Squad up with friends and dive into 10-team battle royales, 2-player duos, or 4v4 deathmatches. With 16 unique hunters, each with distinct abilities, players can build a team of hyper-styled heroes, all designed to be self-sufficient playmakers. Featuring dynamic map-based objectives and game-changing storm shifts, SUPERVIVE ensures that no game is ever the same.

The development team has been hard at work leveling up just about everything in SUPERVIVE since their initial June public playtest, where their growing community played more hours of SUPERVIVE in one week than three years of private playtesting.

These changes include:

  • Two newly playable heroes make their debut:
  • Jin – A young, warblade-wielding assassin with an augmented arm that’s slowly corrupting him. He can create illusionary clones of himself and teleport to enemies (or his clones) to deal massive melee damage.
  • Hudson – A gruff salvage-smith who’s survived two apocalypses, Hudson wields an enormous gatling gun that can be overclocked to unleash an unending barrage of shrapnel. He holds a fortified position better than anyone.
  • New equipment and level progression systems have been implemented to encourage greater build diversity and amplify playstyles
  • A brand new tutorial, onboarding flow, and the addition of bot queue for all players, where groups can squad up against nine other bot teams to learn the game
  • Official voice actors have been brought on to breathe life into the entire roster
  • Environment and hunter art has been polished to ‘ship’ quality
  • Tons of cosmetic content is in development to give players ways to customize and show off their personal style
  • An entirely redone HUD that shows off SUPERVIVE’s shooter soul
  • New hunter profile pictures, lobby poses and introductions
  • New VFX for many hunter abilities and effects, as well as new art for in-world objects like wind rings, basecamps, and more

Additional Insights

“SUPERVIVE is a labor of pure love from our team, we tried to put everything we know about making super fun PVP games into every session. It’s a crazy mashup but somehow it all works – and I guarantee there’s nothing else like it out there,” says Joe Tung, CEO and co-founder of Theorycraft Games. “Listen, do you want to queue up for your billionth salty runback of the same game, or do you want to try something fresh with the squad? We hope you’ll make the right decision.”

SUPERVIVE plans to enter open beta later this year; stay tuned for more news! Theorycraft is also partnering with NEXON to host a Korean closed beta immediately following Steam Next Fest. Ongoing development will continue beyond launch, with free updates including new hunters, powers, and biomes. SUPERVIVE will always be free-to-play and is designed to ensure that cosmetics are the only in-game purchases, with no pay-for-power elements, ever.

Players eager to show their support for Theorycraft and SUPERVIVE’s development can purchase Supporter Packs, granting premium currency, exclusive cosmetics, and more perks.
