The Major Arcana have been lost to time. A mysterious figure known as The Collector (yeah, kinda sus) seeks them out, and with your help, will uncover the hidden secrets of the Tarot.

Encounter: The Lost Cards is a turn-based roguelike where you fight back against your fate. The Tarot guides each run, but its most powerful cards are missing. Finding them is your only escape.

New to Tarot cards? Perfect. Encounter doesn’t require prior Tarot knowledge—just general hand-eye coordination and basic literacy. Everything else you’ll pick up along the way.

So… what will you encounter?

Your journey begins with a single crate containing the first resources of your run. From there, each step introduces new challenges—unusual characters, unpredictable encounters, and escalating threats. Every choice matters: items are limited, equipment breaks, and inventory space is strictly constrained. Careful resource management is essential, but mastering action chains and building effective combos determines long-term survival.

Tarot cards influence events, rewards, and twists you’ll experience. The objective is simple: gather as much knowledge and wisdom as possible before your run ends.

Negotiate with travelers, face hostile foes, survive ambushes—each encounter forces adaptation. Fight strategically, improvise, and manage risks… because once you fall, the run ends.
