RGG Studio has officially shared new story and gameplay details for Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties, set to launch on February 12, 2026 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Dragon of Dojima: Kiwami Style Combat

Experience the ultimate evolution of the classic Dragon of Dojima style. The combat system introduces more attack techniques than ever before and brand-new Heat Abilities, including brutal piledrivers and superhuman throws. Kiryu can activate Dragon Boost to unleash explosive finishers and dominate his foes.

Ryukyu Style Combat

Rooted in Okinawan martial arts, this style features the traditional tinbe and rochin (shield and spear) alongside weapons like sai, nunchaku, tonfa, tekko, surujin, and more. The style delivers dynamic technical Heat Actions and can be chained from standard combos to devastate enemies.

Ability Upgrades

Kiryu’s skill tree is deeper than ever. Train, complete missions, and customize his cell phone to enhance motivation and unlock powerful new abilities across multiple styles.

Dark Ties

Mine’s Story

Set in 2007, Dark Ties follows Yoshitaka Mine after betrayal leaves him lost and wandering Kamurocho. Witnessing a yakuza conflict leads him to Tsuyoshi Kanda and a new path within the Nishikiyama Family of the Tojo Clan. As Mine rises through the ranks alongside Kanda, he questions loyalty, power, and purpose—until an invitation from Daigo Dojima changes everything.

Ruthless Combat

Mine’s fighting style is based on elegant yet destructive shoot-boxing. Players can dash, combo, and counter with refined strikes. Many of his Yakuza 3 techniques return, empowering players with familiar and stylish brawling.

Dark Awakening Mode

As players build up Mine’s Shackled Heart gauge, they can activate Dark Awakening—a savage combat mode that unleashes Mine’s true brutality. Rip through enemies with vicious face slams, savage gut punches, and a storm of relentless strikes. His Heat Actions are cold-blooded, cinematic, and devastating.

Ability Upgrades

Mine’s progression system refines his martial prowess and unlocks mid-air Heat Actions, as well as advanced upgrades to enhance Dark Awakening.
