Magical Princess Demo Review

“Parenting 101”
Introduction
Browsing Steam can sometimes lead to some rather interesting discoveries. While cruising through various anime-inspired games (because why not), I stumbled upon Magical Princess by developers Neotro Inc and MAGI Inc. The cover art immediately caught my attention with its strong anime aesthetic, but instead of an RPG or a dating sim, I discovered something far more unexpected—a game about a single father raising his daughter in a magical fantasy world. Yes, it’s as bizarre as it sounds. I downloaded the demo immediately and, by the end of it, I was genuinely surprised. Here are my thoughts on the Magical Princess Demo for PC.
Gameplay

Players assume the role of a father whose daughter is about to enter a school of limitless potential—one that will shape her future entirely based on your decisions. It sounds absurd, especially for someone used to games focused on dating or personal school-life experiences. In Magical Princess, however, you’re not the student—you’re the parent shaping the student’s destiny.
Functioning as a hybrid RPG and raising simulator, Magical Princess allows you to dictate what your daughter studies, who she befriends, who she dates, and even which adults you interact with. The demo offers a surprisingly generous amount of early-game events where your daughter meets classmates, builds relationships, and attends classes that directly influence her stats. Classes such as music, literature, and swordplay all affect her growth, personality, and future trajectory.
I was genuinely impressed by the sheer number of meaningful choices presented in the demo—especially considering it only offers about an hour of gameplay. The developers have hinted at additional systems, including a possible battle system and over 50 endings, which suggests Magical Princess could be packed with content. Gameplay itself is currently simple and largely point-and-click, but the foundation feels solid and promising.
Graphics

I’m a sucker for expressive character models layered over dynamic backgrounds during dialogue, and Magical Princess nails this presentation style. While some games struggle with this approach, the characters here feel lively and full of personality. Even the static images and simplified avatar moments are detailed and visually striking. The game clearly aims to emulate the feel of an anime, and visually, it succeeds beautifully.
Sound
The demo currently features only a Japanese dub, which I personally had no issue with. The voice acting that is present is solid and well-performed. The OST, however, didn’t stand out as much as the visuals or gameplay. While serviceable, it didn’t leave a lasting impression. I’m hopeful the full release will include a more memorable and expansive soundtrack.
Story

The promise of over 50 endings is where Magical Princess could truly shine—or potentially falter. The demo doesn’t reveal whether these endings will be fully fleshed-out narrative conclusions or simpler text-based outcomes. That uncertainty does give me pause. Still, every decision in the demo feels impactful, making it clear that the story branches dramatically based on your parenting choices. Will your daughter become a heroic magical savior, or fall into darker paths? I’m eager to find out.
Overall Impression
The Magical Princess Demo left me with a very strong first impression. With a planned release window seemingly aimed at 2026, this title already shows immense potential. The depth of its parenting and life-simulation mechanics makes me curious just how far-reaching your decisions will be—not just for your daughter, but possibly for your own character as well. The demo only scratches the surface, but what’s here is genuinely exciting.
Pros
- Robust parent-raising simulator with meaningful choices
- Beautiful visuals, from chibi avatars to animated dialogue scenes
- Simple gameplay with clear depth planned for the full release
- Over 50 planned endings is an impressive ambition
Cons
- OST is currently underwhelming
- Potential battle system may feel underdeveloped
Overall Score
8.5
Conclusion

Magical Princess left me wondering whether I could successfully raise a magical child destined for greatness—or disaster. The demo proves there’s a compelling game here waiting to be released, and I came very close to scoring it even higher. However, since this is only a demo, I can’t let excitement fully dictate the score. That said, I’ll absolutely be keeping an eye on this one and look forward to delivering a full review when Magical Princess launches.
