GameSir G7 Pro Zenless Zone Zero Edition Wireless Controller Review

“Personality and quality in one controller”
Introduction
As I look at my cluttered room I realize…dang I own a considerable amount of controllers. I have a good amount for every console I own and a few for the PC. My biggest issue with most of my PC controllers/gamepads is they either lack style for quality or are aesthetically pleasing but don’t work that well.
My Genshin Impact controller by 8Bitdo has served me as a solid controller (though it has its faults) while my Silent Hill 2 Controller from Gamestop looks awesome but…doesn’t work well with shooters or fighting games and I’ve had several pairing issues.
Thus, this leads me to why I decided to…yet again…buy another controller. GameSir has been known for making some quality gamepads and when I saw their recent Zenless Zone Zero controller I was intrigued. The price was a bit high but I ordered it and finally after having had it for several weeks I have much I can say about this controller.
Here’s our review of the GameSir G7 Pro Zenless Zone Zero Edition Wireless Controller for Xbox, PC and Android!
Design / Texture

The minute I pulled the controller out of the gigantic box it comes out of (more on that in a minute) I was awed by the GameSir G7 Pro Zenless Zone Zero controller as it oozes with personality.
While I’m not a huge fan of Zenless Zone Zero (it’s a very good game I just never invested time into it beyond early reviews and testing way back when) I’ve always loved the designs which can be seen on the GameSir G7 Pro Zenless Zone Zero in numerous facets.
From little designs to homages, the GameSir G7 Pro Zenless Zone Zero controller probably would be loved by super fans of the game more than an average player. The face plates too add some classy designs that I’ve never seen with an Xbox controller.
The GameSir G7 Pro Zenless Zone Zero controller is gorgeous and if you love darker themed controllers—or ones with clear designs since there are clear plates you can put on with Zenless Zone Zero images—you’ll love it.
Comfort
Xbox themed controllers always have, I think, a great grip feel. The same can be said of the GameSir G7 Pro Zenless Zone Zero controller. Heavy but not overbearing and with good grips, the feel is beyond comfortable.
I do like there are switches to make the triggers easier to pull down or solid—for those who love quick shooting triggers—but as someone who doesn’t play tons of shooters outside Halo and Marvel Rivals, this isn’t a necessity to me.
What it does show is just how carefully designed this controller was made and how it excels for all gamer types. Honestly though, I put the GameSir G7 Pro Zenless Zone Zero controller through its pacing by playing fighting games and other labor-intensive titles, and it never felt taxing to hold for long sessions.
Without a doubt this will be my main PC controller for everything I play going forward.
Packaging
I have never looked at a box for a controller and went…wow this needs to be forever displayed. Most gamepads or controllers just come in static boxes that have the company’s name splashed on with an image of the controller.
The GameSir G7 Pro Zenless Zone Zero controller is like opening a multi-tiered limited edition item. The box itself is gigantic, having not one, not two but three drawers that each contain goodies.
From extra controller tabs, to keychains and faceplates, the GameSir G7 Pro Zenless Zone Zero box is without a doubt the best controller box I’ve seen in recent memory.
Even today, I look in the various drawers to see if I missed some other goodies and even when I’m sad to find nothing more, it feels like an adventure opening this box up.
Take note controller developers, GameSir G7 Pro Zenless Zone Zero is the one to beat.
Price

At $129.99, I think again to all you’re getting from this controller. Several controller sticks to change, direction pads, multiple face plates for the grips/front and even a base to charge it on with a case that has a slot to open up and charge it out of.
GameSir G7 Pro Zenless Zone Zero is pricey but it’s well worth the price due to all you get.
Program Specs
Those who need to know the power in their controller, here’s all I can find via the website.
The GameSir G7 Pro Zenless Zone Zero controller is an official wireless/wired 2.4G controller (5.3 Bluetooth) for Xbox. Hall Effect analog triggers, optical micro switch ABXY D-Pad, TMR Mag-Res sticks and a built-in gyroscope.
There’s even more information via the GameSir Nexus App or on the website for those who want deeper technical details.
Longevity
If you are a hardcore gamer, you know the minute your hands wrap around a controller you can gauge how long it will last.
Cheap and knock-off controllers have this plastic feel that screams “I’ll break the moment you hit a combo” or rage from being sniped from a building ten miles away.
The GameSir G7 Pro Zenless Zone Zero longevity can be felt. This will be a controller I’ll be using for a long while and with all those extra interchangeable thumb sticks and covers, I know it will be easy to switch out any nubs that become worn.
I can see this controller surviving well past some of my other expensive controllers and that is a nice feeling.
Overall Impression
As a controller/gamepad enthusiast, I will say GameSir G7 Pro Zenless Zone Zero has become one of my absolute favorites and I’m not even a huge fan of the game it’s based on.
From incredible design options, customization, app support, and a premium unboxing experience, this controller is just perfect on so many levels.
I won’t need to buy any PC controllers for quite a long time unless I just want them for collectible reasons. For my personal use controller, GameSir G7 Pro Zenless Zone Zero has the honors.
Pros

- Wicked customizable design
- Perfect feel for long gaming sessions
